Norco Inc. is expanding its presence in the Northwest with a new acquisition: Northern Medical Systems, a respiratory and medical supply company with locations in Chewelah and Newport, Wash.
The Boise-based medical, welding and safety supply company already has nine Norco branches in Washington. It is the nation's largest privately owned company of its kind, with more than 55 branches in Idaho and its neighboring states.
The company is "thrilled to be able to serve patients and medical facilities in this great community" in northern Washington, said Norco President Ned Pontious.
Norco has a goal of helping patients stay in their homes despite health problems, by supplying products such as oxygen, hospital beds, wheelchairs, bath aids, lift chairs, scooters, CPAP and sleep equipment and incontinence products, according to the press release.
