The Broncos swept New Mexico 7-0 as they improved to 12-8 overall and 2-1 in the Mountain West. It was Boise State's sixth straight victory and its 26th straight at home. Boise State hosts UC Santa Barbara at noon Thursday and Utah State at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Both matches will be played at the Appleton Tennis Center.
BSU GYMNASTICS: The Broncos will be a No. 4 seed at NCAA regionals April 6 in Corvallis, Ore. Georgia is No. 1, followed by No. 2 Oregon State and No. 3 Georgia. Arizona State and Cal round out the field of teams competing for the chance to advance to the nationals. The top two teams from the regional receive an automatic berth to the national meet, which begins April 19 in Los Angeles.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO SOFTBALL: Coyotes coach Al Mendiola won his 200th career game as the C of I (18-16) defeated British Columbia in Canada.
C OF I WOMEN'S TENNIS: George Fox defeated the Crusaders 5-4 in Waipahu, Hawaii. The C of I is 0-6.
NORTHWEST NAZARENE SOFTBALL: Central Washington defeated the Crusaders 8-0 and 3-2 in a doubleheader in Ellensberg, Wash. NNU dropped to 5-24, 0-14 in the GNAC.
NNU MEN'S GOLF: The Crusaders are in seventh place after two rounds of the Cal Baptist Intercollegiate Tournament in Beaumont, Calif. Nick Hardy matched his career low with a 2-under 70 in the second round.
