Published: March 22, 2013

Boise State senior Jason Chamberlain (No. 2 seed, 149 pounds), senior George Ivanov (unseeded, 157) and junior J.T. Felix (No. 11, heavyweight) won twice Thursday to advance to the quarterfinals at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.

Brian Owen (unseeded, 133) went 0-2 and has been eliminated. Jake Swartz (No. 10, 184) lost in the second round but is still alive on the consolation side.

Chamberlain will face No. 7 Scott Sakaguchi of Oregon State on Friday. Sakaguchi is the only wrestler to beat Chamberlain this season. Chamberlain is 7-1 against him in college, but several of their matches have gone to overtime.

Ivanov will face No. 6 Alex Dieringer of Oklahoma State. Felix gets No. 3 Alan Gelogaev of Oklahoma State.

Friday's quarterfinal session (9 a.m.) is on ESPN3 and ESPNU. The semifinal session (5 p.m.) is on ESPNU.
