Hamilton joins Cushman & Wakefield

Chad Hamilton has joined Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce as an associate director and land specialist. Hamilton is focusing on land and retail land transactions in the greater Boise area.

Hamilton was vice president of corporate real estate and construction with D.L. Evans Bank, where he was responsible for retail and corporate real estate portfolio management, corporate land use and disposition initiatives, selection of future retail sites, resolution of land plans, capital improvements, and lease negotiations and renewals.

Hamilton earned a bachelor's degree in construction management, cum laude, as well as a bachelor's degree in business administration. His education focused on architecture, structure, environmental controls, accounting, finance, real estate, estimating and urban design. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute's Idaho chapter, the Building Owner & Managers Association and the International Institute of Shopping Centers.

McAlvain names Murray to project role

JC Murray has joined the McAlvain Group of Companies as project superintendent.

Murray has 40 years' experience in commercial construction and has been involved in projects ranging up to $110 million. His responsibilities include: project supervision, safety, scheduling, procurement and quality control.

McAlvain provides design/build, construction management, concrete, excavation and general contracting services throughout the Western United States.

Parametrix honored for Kleiner Park

Parametrix, of Boise, has earned a National Recognition Award for engineering achievement in the American Council of Engineering Companies' 47th annual Engineering Excellence Awards for Parametrix's role in creating Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park in Meridian.

The project team created a grading and topographic plan for a 60-acre regional park with rolling hills and more than 1,300 trees. Other improvements included new water, sewer, storm drains and dry utilities; parking; a roadway network with two roundabouts; and pedestrian lighting. The park also features a new senior center, a band shell and amphitheater, a grand gateway entrance, a promenade and a memorial plaza honoring Meridian's fallen war heroes.

Parametrix provides planning and environmental services from offices across the western U.S.

The American Council of Engineering Companies is the trade association of America's engineering industry, representing more than 5,000 engineering firms and more than 500,000 professionals who help develop transportation, water and energy infrastructure, environmental, industrial and other public and private facilities.
