Get ready to swing at the 16th annual Gene Harris Jazz Festival at Boise State University next week. The festival is named for world-renowned blues/jazz pianist Harris, who called Boise home for many years. The week is filled with clinics and performances by high school and college combos - which you can sit in on - and concerts by the Boise State Big Band and the Gene Harris SuperBand, playing some of Harris' original charts with guest artists saxophonist Mark Taylor and trombonist Scott Whitfield.
