Boise Spring Home Show: 5 to 9 p.m. March 14-15, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 16 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 17, Expo Idaho, 5610 N. Glenwood St., Garden City. Home improvement, landscaping, cooking demonstrations and backyard chicken presentations. $5 general, $4 seniors, free for children younger than 12.

Paver Patios: 10 to 11 a.m. at FarWest Landscape and Garden Center, 5728 W. State St., Boise. FarWest Landscape designers Dennis Fix and Gus Hess will show you the tools and tricks for installing your own professional looking paver project in just one weekend. Free. 853-4000.

Boise Flower and Garden Show: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 22, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 23 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 24, Boise Centre, 850 W. Front St. Shop for the latest in landscape design, garden art and decor, yard furniture, plants, decks, greenhouses and more. Pruning Deciduous Trees: 6:30 p.m. March 28, Idaho Botanical Garden, 2355 N. Penitentiary Road, Boise. Idaho Botanical Garden horticulture manager and certified arborist, Toby Mancini, will share the basics of pruning that will aid in increasing trees' vigor and directing their growth. $10 members, $15 nonmembers.
