Elvis Mrsic is being held in the Ada County Jail on a felony aggravated battery charge after Boise police say he attacked another man with a wooden baseball bat in a Fairview Avenue parking lot Tuesday night.
Police were sent to a parking lot near Eagle Road and Fairview Avenue around 11 p.m. Tuesday after the victim called 911.
That man told police he got into an argument with Mrsic a few moments earlier in the parking lot of a store near the Milwaukee Street/Fairview Avenue intersection when Mrsic got out a baseball bat and started swinging, hitting him in the arm as he got into his car. Police say Mrsic beat on the car with the bat several more times, denting the metal, in an attempt to get the victim, according to reports.
The victim then drove away and called police, who found Mrsic driving in the same area a short time later. After a short investigation, police say they identified Mrsic as the attacker and arrested him for aggravated battery. The other man did not appear to be badly hurt in the attack but his car sustained damage, according to reports.
Police reports do not indicate what the fight was about but do say Mrsic and the victim knew each other.
Mrsic will make his initial court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
The crime of aggravated battery is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
