Derrick Marks had 22 of his 27 points in the second half, finishing with nine rebounds and six assists as Boise State defeated San Diego State 69-65 in the Broncos' home finale Saturday. The win is another boost to Boise State's NCAA tournament resume — San Diego State was ranked No. 31 in the latest RPI. "We definitely helped our cause … another great win for us," Boise State coach Leon Rice said. Anthony Drmic added 23 points for Boise State (21-9, 9-7 Mountain West). It was the Broncos' fourth win this season over a team that is currently in the top 50 in the RPI ratings. "There's a lot riding on it," Rice said of Saturday's game. Marks blocked Xavier Thames' layup attempt after stealing it from Drmic with 21 seconds to go and the Broncos holding onto a 63-60 lead. "It was a great play by them, and Derrick made an even better play … I'm glad he got it, because I would've been in the doghouse," Drmic said. Kenny Buckner, the lone Bronco senior, had 11 rebounds in his final home game. Boise State will again play San Diego State (21-9, 9-7) on Wednesday at 10 p.m. MST in the Mountain West tournament.
