Idaho forward Tyler Gron, a Northern Michigan product, had 10 goals in 13 games in the month of February. He finished the month with 17 points and a plus-six rating. Gron is the third Steelhead to be named ECHL rookie of the month this season. Goalie Josh Robinson was honored in November, and Austin Fyten received the award in January.
The Steelheads play the first of four games at home this week when they host the Colorado Eagles at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday at CenturyLink Arena. Idaho plays Colorado again Wednesday and Gwinnett on Friday and Saturday nights. The team is trying to improve on its home record of 21-4-4, which is the second-best home winning percentage (.793) in the ECHL.
