SAN MARCOS, Texas - Kyle Barone had 26 points and 14 rebounds, and Idaho snapped a five-game Western Athletic Conference losing streak Saturday with a 90-81 victory over Texas State.
Connor Hill made 5-of -7 3-pointers to match his career-high of 22 points for the Vandals (11-17, 6-11).
Idaho shot 56 percent from the field and was 24-of-31 at the free-throw line to gain a split in the season series.
Matt Staff led the Bobcats (9-20, 4-12) with 22 points. Joel Wright and Vonn Jones each scored 12 and Phil Hawkins and Reid Koenen each added 11. Wright, the WAC's leading scorer, was in foul trouble for most of the game. He picked up two quick fouls early in the first half, a technical in the second, and fouled out after playing 19 minutes.

Jordan Salley had 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting, grabbed 10 rebounds and the Hornets snuck past the Bengals.
ISU (5-23, 4-14 Big Sky) had two chances at a win when Tomas Sanchez missed a shot with 23 seconds left, and Melvin Morgan missed a jumper as six seconds.
