Back in January, the Roosevelt Market in Boise's East End had an uncertain future. Owners Susan Wilder and Nicki Monroe were struggling to make ends meet. They put the building up for sale.
Last week they announced that Kealy and Mike Baughman of Boise firm Kealy B. Real Estate, have bought the market that has been a neighborhood meeting place for decades.
Wilder and Monroe are signing a lease and will continue to operate the store.
"We're staying. We're not going anywhere," said Monroe on Saturday.
Customers will not notice any big changes, she said, though the new owners might make a few improvements to the building.
Kealy B. Real Estate and the Roosevelt Market will host a block party in May for patrons to celebrate. The Roosevelt Market is at 311 N. Elm Ave., Boise.
