Boise police are investigating a report of a sexual assault of a woman on the Greenbelt Tuesday and are asking for public help in finding the suspect.
The woman told police she was walking by herself on the Greenbelt and just about to enter the Veterans Memorial Park area late Tuesday morning when man grabbed and attacked her. Police reports do not say which direction the man came from or if the woman said he was hiding somewhere, or where he went after he attacked her. It is also unclear how and when the woman contacted police about what happened.
The woman told police her attacker was unshaven, had a scar beneath his lower lip, and had short and wavy brown hair. The woman also said her attacker was about 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 30-years-old with a medium to stocky build. He was wearing a dark jacket, jeans, and western-style boots, according to police reports.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 343-2677 or log on to the Crime Stoppers website to leave a tip.
