Want to know what’s going on with your Idaho income tax refund?

The Idaho Tax Commission has two ways you can check it out.

Go to tax.idaho.gov, and click on "Where's my refund?” Or you can call an automated phone system at 364-7389. Both are available 24 hours a day.

“All returns go through automated reviews before we issue any refunds,” said Doreen Warren, tax commission revenue operations administrator. “We’ve implemented these extra checks to make sure the correct refunds are issued. These reviews have proven to be very effective. Last year we identified 138 confirmed fraudulent returns and stopped fraudulent refund requests of more than $660,000.”

If your taxes are filed electronically you should be able to start tracking your return in about three to five business days. If you file a paper return, the wait is about three weeks.
