Canyon County Pet of the Week: Opal the Siamese

Published: February 26, 2013

Opal, 2 1/2, is a Tortie Point Siamese mix with a wonderful "purrrsonality." Opal is mellow and relaxed, especially in the hustle and bustle of daily activities at the shelter. She is content to be petted when you have a few moments and loves to stretch her legs and have fun on the cat tree. Opal is curious about other cats and would make the transition to a multipet household, with proper introductions, with ease. Siamese have tendencies to be vocal but not this girl; she is quiet and attentive. Opal is spayed and current on vaccines. Opal is in Cat Room No. 2 in Kennel 15 at the Canyon County Animal Shelter, 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. The hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday.
