Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State softball drops final in tournament

The Broncos lost to San Diego State 8-6 at the Amy S. Harden Classic on Sunday in Riverside, Calif. BSU (7-7) led 5-0 before giving up eight runs over the fourth and fifth innings. Despite the loss, freshman Sarah Barnes tied the school record with four hits, including a three-run home run in the third inning.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO BASEBALL: The Coyotes split a doubleheader with Whitman, losing 11-1 before winning 15-3 in Caldwell.

C OF I SOFTBALL: The Coyotes gave up 25 hits as Saint Martin's swept a doubleheaders, 10-7 and 9-4, in Caldwell.

C OF I TENNIS: The Coyotes were shut out 9-0 by Lewis-Clark State in Lewiston.
