Jerame Dale Borgeson, 36, and Johnnie Alan Stone, 28, are both being held in the Ada County Jail on felony drug trafficking charges after Idaho State Police say the duo were caught with 4.8 pounds of marijuana inside their car on Intestate 84 near Meridian Wednesday afternoon.

Borgeson and Stone are both from Missouri, according to Ada County Jail records.

Details on what led to the men being pulled over, where they were going and why officers called for an Ada County drug dog to search the car were not available from the Idaho State Police Thursday morning.

Both men, who are also charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, will be in court Thursday afternoon.

The crime of trafficking marijuana is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
