Where: Jacksons Indoor Track at the Idaho Center, Nampa
Schedule: Thursday - women's pentathlon and men's heptathlon, beginning at 11 a.m.; Friday - heptathlon begins at 11 a.m., field events begin at 1 p.m., running events begin at 3:30 p.m., competition ends at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday - field events begin at 11 a.m., running events begin at 12:30 p.m.; awards ceremony at 3:45 p.m.
Tickets: $8 each at the door for Friday and Saturday; free admission Thursday
Men's teams: Air Force is the defending champion with Wyoming, New Mexico and Boise State as the top challengers. Colorado State also competes.
Women's teams: San Diego State, ranked No. 24 in the nation, is the heavy favorite (departed member TCU won last year). Boise State, Air Force, Fresno State, New Mexico, UNLV, Nevada, Colorado State and Wyoming also compete.
Broncos to watch: Emma Bates is ranked 19th nationally in the women's 3,000 meters, Chase Sexton is No. 39 in the men's shot put, Daveon Collins leads the MW in the men's 60 and 200 and the Broncos could win both 4x400 relays.
Others to watch: Air Force's Cale Simmons finished fifth in the pole vault at the NCAA meet last year; Wyoming's Mason Finley ranks second nationally in the shot put; San Diego State's Shanieka Thomas has posted the sixth-best triple jump in NCAA history; Fresno State's Je'Nia Sears ranks fifth nationally in the long jump.
