Last-second basket sinks Stampede

Published: February 21, 2013

The Springfield Armor defeated Idaho 107-105 on Wednesday night at CenturyLink Arena.

Stampede guard Durrell Summers tied the game at 105-105 with a 3-pointer with 7.8 seconds remaining, but Armor forward Willie Reed put back a Kris Joseph miss just before the buzzer sounded to give Springfield the victory.

It was a big win for Armor coach Bob MacKinnon, who went 25-25 in his one season as the Stampede's head coach (2009-2010).

Summers had a game-high 30 points in the loss, which snapped a two-game winning streak. Four other players scored in double figures for Idaho (10-19), including Justin Holiday, who had 21 points and seven rebounds.

Kris Joseph led the Armor (10-21) with 24 points in his first game with the team.
