Idaho scored three goals in the second period on its way to a 3-2 win in a game that began at midnight in Las Vegas. Jace Coyle, Ian Watters and Ben Ondrus scored the Steelheads' goals.

The victory snapped the Wranglers nine-game winning streak. Idaho played nine games in a 12-day stretch and won six of those contests. Rookie goaltender Josh Robinson improved to 19-6-2 after stopping 40 shots.
