Aircraft, parts sales lead Idaho export growth

Published: February 19, 2013

Idaho broke expert records in 2012 with $6.1 billion in sales, up 3.5 percent from 2011. "We believe this increase is largely due to Idaho companies openly embracing the exploration of new markets to expand their business," says Idaho Commerce Director Jeffery Sayer. Exports of civilian aircraft and related parts jumped 2,000 percent to $531.7 million. Sayer is encouraging business leaders who want to export to visit commerce.idaho.gov/international to learn about a grant program and Gov. Butch Otter's planned April trade mission to Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.
