Canyon County Pet of the Week: Southern Comfort

Published: February 19, 2013

Southern Comfort, 7, is a true southern gentleman. Like any good liqueur, he has ripened at the age of 7, which makes him the ideal age for a dog. He loves to play outside and go for long walks.

He's a staff favorite because he is tidy in his kennel and does not pull hard on the leash. He behaves around other dogs, but shelter staff recommends that he be introduced to any other dog he might be living with before an adoption. He would do best in an active home where the people have time to brush up on his obedience. Unfortunately, he was brought in as a stray so his history is unknown.

Southern Comfort is in Large Dog Adoptions at the Canyon County Animal Shelter, 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. For more, visit www.canyoncountyshelter.org
