3A: PARMA FALLS; SNAKE RIVER PLAYS FOR FIRST TITLE

NAMPA - Snake River senior point guard Kylie Coby led a late charge and lifted her team to its first ever appearance in the state finals with a 33-32 semifinal win against Parma on Friday. Coby scored 10 of her 11 points, and 10 of her team's 14 points, in the fourth quarter to erase a lead Parma held for all but 11 seconds entering the fourth quarter. The victory lifts Snake River (22-2) into the 3A state championship at the Idaho Center against Filer (21-4), which dominated against Sugar-Salem in the other semifinal. Parma senior forward Landri Timmons scored a game-high 19 points and nearly led her team back with a pair of miracle shots. She banked in a 3-pointer with 14.5 seconds left to cut the deficit to one. And after Baldwin's layup, a 30-foot desperation heave hit the front and back of the rim before falling out.
