Cedron J. Vassar is being held in the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of sexual exploitation of a child after deputies say they found multiple images of child pornography on his computer.

Deputies arrested the 28-year-old Vassar at his home in the 7600 block of Wilshire Drive, which is located in the Cole Road/Fairview Avenue neighborhood, Thursday afternoon after serving a search warrant.

Deputies began their investigation into Vassar earlier this winter after getting a tip from the multi-agency Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that Vassar was downloading illegal images over the internet.

Vassar will make his initial court appearance Friday afternoon.

The crime of sexual exploitation of a child is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
