Blues and soul singer John Nemeth just moved from the Bay Area to Memphis, but that doesn't mean Boise - the place he grew up in - doesn't still feel like home. In fact, his performance this weekend at the Egyptian Theatre is a milestone, he says: "I mean, this is my 20th year," he explains with a chuckle. "Since Fat John and the Three Slims in 1993 took Downtown Boise by storm." Nemeth has come a long way since then; he's up for five Blues Music Awards this year for two outstanding live albums that he self-released. Winning a few BMAs would be terrific news, Nemeth says: "Better gigs. More cash. Hallelujah!"
