Published: February 14, 2013

Police say a 13-year-old boy reported missing by his family from their West Boise home early Thursday morning has been found safe at a neighbor's house not far from where he lives.

Boise police had been doing on extensive search around the neighborhood near the Ustick Road/Duane Way intersection, by Eagle Road, after the family reported the boy missing around 2 a.m.

Police said the boy, whose name is Thomas, has unique medical issues and his family was very concerned for his safety.

Thomas was last seen by his family at 10 p.m. Wednesday and was located by police around 7:30 a.m. Thursday. It is unclear if someone called police or officers found the boy during the search.

Boise police officials thanked members of the public and the media who helped spread the word Thursday morning about the missing boy.
