Make the most of it: For the first time in more than two months, the mercury is flirting with 50 degrees. Wednesday got to 50 under mostly cloudy skies; Thursday should be about the same. Blue skies and warm temps are on tap Friday and Saturday.
It won't last long: The forecast for Sunday through next week calls for partly cloudy skies with daytime highs in the low to mid 40s, dropping to the upper 20s at night. Oh, and there could be some rain or snow.
Welcome relief: The weekend warm spell comes after what was the 10th-coldest January on record, with an average monthly temperature of 19.6 degrees - 11.7 degrees below normal.
Warm memories: The last time the temperature got this high was early December, when Boise saw highs of 62 on Dec. 2 and 58 on Dec. 5.
