Heinz says March 4 will be the last day for 16 percent of the workers there.
The full-time employees will lose their jobs as a result of changing production needs in the company's frozen-goods department, the Idaho State Journal reported. Heinz says a plan to phase out T.G.I Friday's frozen meals is the main reason for the cuts.
The company says it will continue employing more than 400 people to produce frozen entrees and snack items.
