Boise police arrest 28-year-old Cambridge man on child porn charge

Published: February 11, 2013

David L. Damon is being held in the Ada County Jail on five felony counts of sexual exploitation of a child after police say they found illegal images of child pornography on his computer at a Boise home Friday morning.

Police began their investigation of the 28-year-old Damon Thursday after getting a tip from the Idaho Crimes Against Children Task Force, a multi-agency group that monitors the internet.

Police officials wouldn’t say where the home was in Boise but did say the owner gave officers consent to search when they went there Friday morning.

The 28-year-old Damon is from Cambridge, a town along U.S. 95 north east of Weiser. Police say he was staying at the Boise home when officers arrested him Friday morning.

Damon is set to make his initial court appearance Monday afternoon.

The crime of sexual exploitation of a child (possession of child porn) is punishable by up to 10 years in prison for each count.
