A couple who lives in the 9800 block of Stagecoach Lane in Ada County noticed an unfamiliar vehicle back into their neighbor's driveway Saturday night, then decided to investigate when a man jumped their neighbor's secured fence. The incident happened at about 6 p.m.

The couple was suspicious because they knew their neighbor was away, the Ada County Sheriff's Office said in a release Sunday afternoon. The couple approached the vehicle in the driveway and spoke to a woman inside, then confronted the man as he walked out of a work shed with keys, a hat and notebook.

When the couple asked the man if the items belonged to him, he said "no" and handed them to the woman, investigators said. When the strangers left, the couple immediately called 911 to report the incident.

Deputies located the suspect's Chevy Cavalier near the intersection of Highway 21 and Warm Springs. They spoke with the driver, later identified as Robert J. Moody of Boise.

Based on evidence and information gathered, the 32-year-old was arrested on a charge of felony burglary and booked into the Ada County Jail. Moody is scheduled to be arraigned on the charge Monday.

No charges were filed against the woman in the vehicle. A child that was inside the vehicle at the time of the alleged burglary remains in the woman's care.
