Washington heptathlete sets world record at Boise State Team Challenge

Jeremy Taiwo cleared 7 feet, 4.5 inches in the heptathlon high jump on the first day of the Boise State Team Challenge on Friday in Nampa, setting a new world record in the event. He leads the heptathlon with 3,570 points. For Boise State, Matt Post won the men's weight throw (58-6.50). The event continues at 9 a.m. Saturday at Jacksons Indoor Complex.
