Free Boise event will focus on concussions in sports

Published: February 8, 2013

A pair of former Boise State football players, along with concussion experts and athletic trainers from Boise State and Boise High, will host a screening of the documentary “Head Games,” followed by a discussion of concussions in sports Saturday at the Egyptian Theatre. The event begins at 6 p.m.

“We want to educate parents, players, coaches about this issue and dispel some of the fears out there, and make sure the athletes can hopefully have long, healthy careers,” said former Boise State running back Matt Kaiserman, who will be on the panel with former Bronco and NFL tight end Jeb Putzier. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP at 381-9205 or by emailing concussion@slhs.org.
