The film tour returns to Boise on Friday, Feb. 15 at the Egyptian Theatre at 700 W. Main St. Doors open at 6 p.m., and films start at 7. Tickets are $15, and discounted $13 tickets are available at Idaho Angler at 1682 S. Vista Ave.

The show usually sells out, so buy tickets in advance or arrive early on the day of the show.

The tour features films about fishing locations throughout the world, but the films encompass a wide range of fly fishing, not just monster fish in exotic locations.

“We approached this year with the attitude that adventure is what you make it,” said film tour co-owner Chris Keig. “Sometimes the greatest adventure can be found in your own backyard or an urban corridor.”

That’s true for Idaho fly anglers. Local filmmakers will be featured in this year’s tour.

Travis Swartz and Reese Ferguison, the fly fishing comedy duo that has “gone virus” on the Internet, continue their roles as “Hank Patterson” and “Crazy Reese.”

They will be shown in a series of short films throughout the evening where Hank serves as instructor, educator, river jester, and oblivious fish oracle in multiple segments between the “official” films.

Boisean Bryan Huskey follows up his film “Doc of the Drakes” with an unintended sequel, “Hit’em again Doc.” Huskey again follows guide Pete Wood and Robert “Doc” Franklin, an 85-year-old suffering from Parkinson’s disease. The pair continue their intriguing relationship and land memorable fish in Idaho rivers.

Other films include:

• “Magnetic North”: A story of guides and fishing in Alaska.

• “BrownBro”: Fishing in the Caucasus Mountains in Georgia.

• “Reel”: A Day on the River: Fishing the Upper Delaware and Catskills.

• “Thai One On”: Fish for mahseer in Thailand.

• “Enough is Enough”: A film about Northern California’s McCloud River.

• “Urban Line”: Fishing urban waters on the Potomac River.

• “Turning Tail”: Atlantic salmon fishing in Maine and Canada.

• “The Calico Syndicate”: Fly fishing for sea bass in Southern California.

• “Blackwater Devil’s Gold”: Fly fishing in Bolivia.

• “Brothers Brown”: Three brothers fish the Au Sable River.

• “Fall Run”: Fishing coastal steelhead rivers in the Northwest.
