Idaho's insurance department hiring someone to help with health care reform

The state plans to hire a specialist to help it move forward with health care reform — someone who will be an expert on health care reform and a liaison between the department and the public, the insurance industry, and federal agencies and other regulators.

A job posted this week by the Idaho Department of Insurance asks for applicants who know public and private health care systems and how they are funded.

The specialist will have duties such as: — Reviewing Idaho laws, finding health care problem areas and recommending changes — Helping consumers and the insurance industry with laws, policies and procedures — Representing the department on boards and committees — Helping to cut the number of uninsured and underinsured Idahoans and improve access to cost-effective care

The position pays $26.50 per hour plus benefits.
