The third edition of The Hispanic Profile Data Book for Idaho examines Idaho Hispanics' standing in the job market, housing, education, and includes a look at Hispanics' buying power compared to non-Hispanics and the number of Hispanic-owned businesses in the state, said J.J. Saldana, spokesman for the Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs.

The roughly 200-page book "is intended to be particularly useful for program planners, project evaluators, state and local policy makers, educators, health care providers, researchers, the business community, and community members," according to a commission press release.

Saldana said the commission will hand out CDs with the book on them at a reception at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the J.R. Williams Building, 700 W. State St., in Boise. The reception is open to the public.

After the reception, Saldana said, the commission will make the book available online at www.icha.idaho.gov.
