Factory performance app launched for iOS

Published: February 5, 2013

Apex Software Development, a Meridian developer of industrial automation software, has announced the release of FactoryKPIs.

The software is designed for viewing and monitoring factory performance and condition data on Apple’s iPad, iPad mini, iPhone and iPod touch devices.

The application allows managers to share and respond to conditions and incidents in the office, on the plant floor or at any remote location in the world, Apex says.

The app is free from Apple’s App Store. It requires Internet access via Wi-Fi or a mobile network. The app automatically connects to a secure data source, called KPIServer, for displaying data. The suggested U.S. list price for the KPIServer is $495 for a five-metric starter pack.

KPI is short for key performance indicator.

“FactoryKPIs for iOS is the newest addition to our manufacturing KPI software family, succeeding our first product, FactoryWidgets for Windows,” says John Nichols, president and owner of Apex.

The firm was founded in 2009. To learn more, visit www.factorykpi.com.
