Just before 2 p.m. Sunday, firefighters were called to a report of fire in the basement of a one-story house in the 7600 block of Linder Road in Kuna.

No one was injured in the blaze, said Fire Captain John Carlton. Firefighters were able to contain it to the basement, though there was damage to the basement ceiling and some light smoke damage on the first floor.

The contents of the basement, including tools, construction materials, clothes and other items, were also damaged by the fire. Investigators determined the cause was arcing wires in the basement.
