The Broncos and Cardinal will face off in a Pac-12 dual at noon Sunday at Taco Bell Arena. The Broncos have won seven of their past eight duals but likely will be without two injured starters 133-pounder Brian Owen (knee) and 141-pounder Josh Strait (ankle). The time of the match was moved up to avoid a conflict with the Super Bowl. Tickets are $2 if you wear any NFL gear.
BOISE STATE TRACK AND FIELD: The Broncos won eight titles at the Bronco Classic at Jacksons Indoor Track. The mens winners: Manoah Watson (400, 47.71 seconds), Drew Odonoghue-McDonald (800, 1:54.41), Rolando Trammel (60 hurdles, 8.02) and Chase Sexton (shot put, 56 feet, 8.75 inches). The womens winners: Emma Bates (800, 2:11.14), Marisa VanderMalle (mile, 4:55.02) and Yvonne Bennett and Cyntrail Pierce tied in the 400 (57.02).
BOISE STATE MENS TENNIS: Santa Clara defeated the Broncos 4-3 in Seattle. No. 1 singles player Andy Bettles set the tone for Boise State with a 6-3, 6-2 win over John Lamble, but Santa Clara won the final singles match to earn the win.
IDAHO MENS BASKETBALL: Connor Hill scored 19 points and Kyle Barone added 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Vandals to a 66-63 victory against San Jose State in Moscow. Idaho (9-12, 5-6 WAC) held on despite not getting a field goal in the final 5 minutes, 22 seconds.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMENS BASKETBALL: The Coyotes defeated Corban 76-66 in Caldwell. Chakala Carthen scored a game-high 22 points for the C of I (17-6, 13-2 CCC).
C OF I MENs BASKETBALL: Ben Van Lith had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Coyotes to their highest-scoring conference game since the 2006-07 season, stopping Corban 95-89 in Caldwell.
C OF I TRACK AND FIELD: Hillary Holt led the way for the Coyotes as the Bronco Classic at Jacksons Indoor Track. She broke the school record in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:45.96. In all, the Coyotes set six school records.
IDAHO STATE MENS BASKETBALL: North Dakota defeated the Bengals 69-52 in Grand Forks, N.D. Andre Hatchett scored a season-high 16 points for Idaho State (4-17, 3-9 Big Sky).
ISU WOMENS BASKETBALL: The Bengals defeated North Dakota 60-43 in Pocatello. Ashleigh Vella (21 points) and Kaela Oakes (20) combined for 41 points for Idaho State (12-9, 7-5 Big Sky).
NORTHWEST NAZARENE WOMENS BASKETBALL: The Crusaders defeated Central Washington 77-68 in Ellensburg, Wash. Heather Adams led NNU (15-3, 7-3 GNAC) with 24 points.
