Spotlight on Idaho authors

Published: February 3, 2013

When we first started to spotlight Idaho authors, we weren’t sure we’d find enough for us to review each month. We were wrong. We have discovered that there’s a lot of talent in this beautiful state — and the entire Northwest. Here are a few more authors whose books are worth mentioning.

‘The Angel with Big Feet’: This is a parable of the life of Jesus through the eyes of a special angel who couldn't fly — and how this angel discovers her purpose, big feet and all. A delightful way to teach children that what we feel are handicaps can actually be our greatest strength.

‘Rufus and Friends #1’: Meet Rufus, a lovable little tan farm dog. He’ll take the reader on fun adventures while introducing the concepts of position words and time. The author’s hope is that children will not only enjoy the stories but also utter those magic words, “I can read!”

‘Scarlet’: Cinder returns in the second thrilling installment of the New York Times-bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She’s trying to break out of prison — but even if she succeeds, she’ll be the Commonwealth’s most wanted fugitive.
