Boise Airport temporarily closed after private plane misses the runway

Published: February 2, 2013

As of 8:45 p.m., Saturday, no flights are leaving or taking off from Boise Airport.

At about 7:30 p.m., a small, private plane was trying to land when it missed the runway. Two passengers on board suffered minor injuries but were not hospitalized. The aircraft is currently blocking the only runway that's operational. All other runways are closed because of the fog.

Rebecca Hupp, airport director, said the airport will resume normal operations as soon as the aircraft is moved.

More details will be posted as they become available.
