Steelheads score late goal, win a thriller on the road

Forward David Toews scored with 43 seconds remaining to lift Idaho to a 3-2 win over the Stockton Thunder in California. Steelheads defenseman Jace Coyle scored midway through the third period to even the score at 2-2. Tyler Gron scored Idaho’s other goal in the second period. Goaltender Josh Robinson stopped 43-of-45 shots to earn the win. Prior to the game, Idaho added forward Mike Towns and goaltender Grant Rollheiser. Towns played for Idaho in training camp and was on the opening-day roster before being released one week later. He spent most of this season with Denver of the CHL. Rollheiser is a first-year pro out of Boston University who compiled a 7-8-3 with Utah of the ECHL this season.
