Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State women’s tennis begins season with win

The Broncos swept Weber State 7-0 at the Boas Tennis Center on Friday. Megan LaLone didn’t drop a game in her 6-0, 6-0 victory over Annika Karlsen at No. 6 singles.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO MEN’S BASKETBALL: Northwest Christian used a 20-2 second-half run to put away the Coyotes 64-57 in Caldwell. Garrett Antonio scored 15 points to lead the C of I (12-12, 8-6 Cascade Conference).

C OF I WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Chakala Carthen had a career-high 21 points and Sienna Edmunson had a career-high 10 points, all in the second half, to lead the Coyotes over Northwest Christian 65-56 in Caldwell. The C of I (16-6, 12-2 CCC) has won 10-of-11 games.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE BASEBALL: The Crusaders split a doubleheader with Holy Names in Oakland, Calif., losing 8-5 before winning 12-9. Fernando Robles went 4-for-4 from the plate in Game 2.
