A woman wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Payette man on Monday has not yet been found, but investigators Tuesday arrested a man who was with her the night of the stabbing.
Payette County sheriff's deputies were watching a house in Payette where they believed Ketra Siuce-Hale might turn up. Siuce-Hale has been charged with first-degree manslaughter in the death of Mark Rogers, 26.
They tried to pull over Daniel Wilson as he left the house in Payette at about 7:09 p.m., but Wilson did not stop, said Malheur County Sheriff Brian E. Wolfe. Deputies chased Wilson into Oregon, and took him into custody at about 7:26 p.m. after he crashed and rolled his car on Powerline Road north of Ontario.
Wilson faces charges for attempting to elude officers. He's also wanted on several warrants, Wolfe said.
He was at the house where Rogers was stabbed early Monday morning, and he is believed to have left the scene with Siuce-Hale, Wolfe said. He denies knowing her whereabouts now.
Wilson could face a hindering prosecution charge if investigators can provide he is helping Siuce-Hale hide out. Investigators believe she is moving from location to location in eastern Oregon and western Idaho.
