LaBeau a poor choice for education panel

The hypocrisy of Alex LaBeau is boundless (“Business has a voice on Otter’s new education reform panel,” Biz Buzz, Jan. 22-28). This hired gun of the infamously anti-education and teacher-hating Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry is a member of the governor’s education task force. LaBeau’s stunning lack of business experience is only exacerbated by his mind-numbing ignorance of how business actually works. Hear him complain how the education system is inadequate for the needs of business, and then watch him seek every avenue to reduce funding for the public education system.

In the world of Alex LaBeau, the best strategy to achieve success is to reduce the money dedicated to fund that success. Brilliant. Considering that LaBeau’s blind dedication to the failed Luna laws resulted in an exodus of businesses from IACI, it serves to question whether LaBeau’s failure at IACI is equal to his failure to form any cogent idea for meaningful discourse on the public education system of Idaho. While Alex LaBeau further weakens and demeans IACI, it is important to understand that his goals are solely to reduce the funding needed to educate the children of this state in order to satisfy the greed of his organization and to publicly proclaim his hatred and disdain for public employees in general.
