Three configurations for accessing trails in the Polecat Gulch Reserve from the north end of Collister Road will be the topic of a meeting Feb. 6.
Each proposal offers 15 parking spots and a restroom. One would accommodate horse riders with a mounting ramp and trailer parking. That configuration also includes two picnic sites.
The city of Boise has earmarked money to build the new trailhead. Construction is expected to begin this summer.
The 834-acre reserve is located between Cartwright and Collister roads and features eight miles of trails. The only official trailhead serving Polecat Gulch Reserve is located on Cartwright Road.
The Feb. 6 meeting begins at 6 p.m., at the Boise Library at Collister Sycamore Room, 4724 W State Street Boise, ID 83703 To view the proposals online, see http://bit.ly/polecatgulch.
