Steelheads pick up wild overtime win at Gwinnett

Andrew Carroll jabbed a loose puck across the goal line a minute into sudden-death overtime, lifting Idaho to a 6-5 victory Sunday in Duluth, Ga.

Ben Ondrus (goal, assist), Austin Fyten (goal, assist), David Toews (two assists) and Matt Case (two assists) all had multi-point games for the Steelheads. Goalkeeper Tyler Beskorowany earned the win, stopping 30-of-35 shots on goal.

Prior to Sunday’s game, Idaho announced that defenseman Jace Coyle had been reassigned to Idaho from the Texas Stars of the AHL. Coyle played four games for Texas, recording one assist. He was in Idaho’s lineup Sunday.

In other moves, defenseman Ken Trentowski was added to Idaho’s roster and defenseman/forward Taylor Vichorek was released.
