Education department sets up charter school workshop

BOISE — The Charter Start 101 event for parents, educators and others interested in learning more about what it takes to start a public charter school in Idaho is Feb. 28 and March 1 in Boise.

The two-day workshop will provide technical assistance for new charter developers and anyone interested in converting a traditional public school. Workshop attendance is a statutory requirement for all charter developers. It will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at the State Department of Education offices, 650 W. State St.

Deadline to register is Friday, Feb. 22. Space is limited. The registration form is available at www.sde.idaho.gov. Call 332-6800 for more information.
