The Idaho Steelheads defeated the South Carolina Stingrays 4-3 on Friday as they began a rare trip into the Eastern time zone.
Goaltender Tyler Beskorowany made 37 saves including all 17 shots he faced in the first period to get the win for Idaho.
Ian Watters, Sam Carrick, Austin Fyten and Andrew Carroll scored Idahos goals.
Defenseman Patrick Cullity, who rejoined the team after an extended stint with Springfield of the AHL, notched two assists.
It was the first time Idaho has played at South Carolina.
Prior to the game, Idaho announced forward Justin Taylor has been acquired from the Trenton Titans as part of the trade that sent Jacob Cepis to Trenton in early December.
