Two Boise men face felony charges in Oregon after a drug dog found three pounds of marijuana in their car, according to Oregon State Police.

Steven Dale, 32, and Floyd Frye, 33, were released from the Malheur County Jail Jan. 20 after each paying a $2,000 cash bond.

A trooper stopped the 2003 Chrysler 300, which Frye was driving, about 1:25 p.m. as it was northbound on Highway 201 near Ontario.

A drug K-9 responded with its handler, leading to the discovery of the marijuana. Police estimated the value of the pot at $7,000.

Frye and Dale each face a charge of unlawful possession and distribution of a controlled substance - marijuana. Neither man has a serious criminal record in Idaho.
