Two large upscale residential subdivisions are in the works along the stretch of Eagle Road between Chinden Boulevard and the Boise River.
On Monday, the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission holds a special public hearing on the next phase of Lakemoor, located on the east side of Eagle Road.
The city had already approved Lakemoors next phase comprising 142 homes and 53 commercial lots on 178 acres in 2002 and 2007. Lakemoors developer, Dennis Baker, is now requesting to increase the number homes to 231 and reduce the commercial lots to 39.
The hearing begins at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 660 E. Civic Lane.
The Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission on Jan. 8 recommended approval of Mace River Ranch, a 255-home, 193-acre subdivision located on the west side of Eagle Road between Two Rivers subdivision and the north channel of the Boise River.
A public hearing before the Eagle City Council on Mace River Ranch is scheduled for Feb.12.
The developer, Mace Ranch LLC, proposes large estate, executive and custom lots. Plans also call for publicly accessible features including a small sportmans access park with parking adjacent to Eagle Road, a 10-foot-wide asphalt Greenbelt path near the river and a nature preserve north of the residential area.
