A report of possible child neglect led Garden City police to nearly 2 1/2 pounds of marijuana on Thursday.
Benjamin Lawrence Wentworth, 32, was arrested at his home in the 100 block of E. 37th St. after officers found the marijuana there, as well as drug paraphernalia.
A caller had told police to check on a child at his home, but officers determined the child was safely elsewhere, said Garden City police Sgt. Bob Little.
Wentworth is to appear in 4th District Court Friday on a felony charge of trafficking in marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
